Liberia Media for Democratic Initiative (LMDI) is proud to introduce “The Dialogue” program, a transformative platform that brings government officials and public servants face-to-face with the general public. Through open and inclusive discussions held at town halls and rural areas, The Dialogue aims to articulate government policies, address public concerns, and foster meaningful engagement between decision-makers and the people they serve.
Connecting Government Policies to the People
The Dialogue goes beyond the confines of government offices and reaches directly into the heart of communities. By organizing town hall meetings and engaging in discussions in rural areas, the program provides an opportunity for government officials and public servants to articulate and explain government policies in a clear and accessible manner. This direct interaction with the public ensures that policies are not only understood but also contextualized within the realities and needs of the people.
The high school quizzing component of Tomorrow’s People provides an exciting platform for students to showcase their knowledge, critical thinking abilities, and teamwork skills. Teams from different schools compete in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment, answering questions from various academic disciplines. This fosters a spirit of healthy competition, encourages students to delve deeper into their studies, and ignites their intellectual curiosity.
Ducor Debate goes beyond the traditional campaign rhetoric by providing a space for politicians to articulate their visions, policies, and plans for the betterment of Liberia. Through these debates, candidates running for elected offices, from local to national levels, have the opportunity to present their ideas, address public concerns, and showcase their leadership qualities. By shedding light on their governing strategies, candidates foster transparency and accountability, giving voters the necessary information to make informed decisions at the polls.
