In collaboration with the Foundation for Empowerment of Rural Dwellers (FERD), the Liberia Media for Democratic Initiatives (LMDI), with support from WaterAid Liberia, has concluded the conduct of the second session of a four-part pilot series on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) promotion forums.
The community media forum took place over the weekend in the Duport Road Community in Paynesville City. FERD, a not-for-profit and non-political self-help development organization, partnered with LMDI to facilitate the event, which aimed to raise awareness and promote hygiene practices in the community.
The forum included discussions and presentations on the importance of clean water, proper sanitation, and good hygiene practices. Community members, including local leaders, residents, and representatives from various organizations, actively participated in the event. Lawmakers from electoral district four and adjacent electoral districts were also in attendance.
Through these collaborative efforts, WaterAid Liberia, LMDI, and FERD are working together to promote access to clean water and sanitation facilities, ultimately contributing to the overall health and well-being of communities in Liberia.
